Tools I might use in my tutorials:
MS paint tools:
The brush tool. This is helpful when you need to get one or two pixels or want to make a custom curved line.
The curved line tool. This can be a pain or a life saver it depends on your situation but this tool can be tricky.
The eye dropper tool. ok, it isn't really an eye dropper but I will call it that because it is easyer to remember. THis
tool picks up color so you can use it.
The line tool. I use this tool a lot. It makes a strait line or if you make a series of short lines it can end up curving
and you don't have to go back and clean up the line.
The eraser tool. Used to erase any mistakes you mighthave made or used for color replacement.
The magnifier tool. Used to get a close up look at things.
The paint can tool. Used to fill in large areas.
The pencil tool. I rarely use this one. Used just like the brush tool but youo can't actually see the pixel before you
click.
The cut and past tool. Again this isn't it's actual name but it is easyer to remember. Used to cut and paste.
GIMP tools:
Paint brugh tool. it paints the selected color on something.
The dodge/burn tool. The dodge tool lightens things. The burn tool darkens things.
The smudge tool. It smudges things.
The eye dropper tool. Used same as the MS paint eye dropper.
Paint can tool. Used to fill in a large area with a patern or color.
This is how I draw my dolls, you don't have to do the exact same thing.
My tutorials are to be used as reference only. Do not copy the outlines and use them yourself.
